Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 1, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how ClickClackLabs ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use BrainPickle ("the Service"). We keep things simple: we collect the minimum data needed to run the Service, and we never sell your personal information.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google or create an account with email and password, we receive and store your email address (and name/photo if using Google OAuth) to create and manage your account.
Quiz data
We store your quiz results, scores, streaks, and preferences to provide features like leaderboards, stats, and streak tracking.
Usage data
We collect anonymous analytics data such as page views, quiz completions, and feature usage to improve the Service. This data is not tied to your identity.
Referral and sharing data
When you arrive via a shared link, we may store the referral source (e.g. "whatsapp", "twitter", "sms") in your browser's local storage to understand which sharing channels drive engagement. This data is anonymous and not linked to your identity.
Email address for notifications
If you opt into streak reminders, we store your email address separately to send daily reminders when your streak is at risk. You can disable reminders at any time from your account settings, and your email will no longer be used for this purpose.
Group play data
When you join a group room, we store your display name, scores, and completion time to display on the room leaderboard. Room data expires automatically after 24 hours.
Local storage
We use browser localStorage to store quiz progress, streak data, install prompt state, referral source, and preferences locally on your device. This data never leaves your browser unless you have an account, in which case it syncs to our servers.
