Is the BrainPickle Slack bot free?

Yes, completely free for any Slack workspace. Invite your team to play. There is no per-player subscription.

How do I add trivia to my Slack channel?

Install the app, invite @BrainPickle to the channel you want to use, then run /trivia setup. Choose that channel, a posting time, and your timezone. Private channels also require an invitation.

Can I schedule daily trivia in Slack?

Yes! Use /trivia setup to choose a channel, time, and timezone. One Daily card will post at your chosen time. Open it to play up to ten questions.

Does the Slack trivia bot have a leaderboard?

Yes. A weekly leaderboard posts automatically every Friday showing top scorers, team accuracy, and total questions answered. You can also type /trivia leaderboard anytime.

Can I choose trivia categories in Slack?

Type /trivia followed by a category or topic, such as /trivia science or /trivia history. We look for matching questions in the available catalog. Use /trivia quiz science for a short quiz.

Can my teammates see my answer before the reveal?

No. Your questions and picks appear in a private window. After four hours, the channel card shows the team’s results and you can review your answers.

Does BrainPickle read our conversations?

No. The app uses slash commands and the buttons you interact with. It does not request access to your channel message history. It stores the workspace settings and trivia answers needed to run the game and leaderboard.

How do I remove BrainPickle or request data deletion?

A workspace member with permission can remove BrainPickle through Slack’s app management. When Slack sends the uninstall event, we remove the workspace installation and its related game data. For an individual data request or help removing the app, contact [email protected] with your workspace and Slack user details. Never send a password or bot token.
