50 free Ancient China trivia questions with answers — history quiz, new questions added Aug 2026.
Ancient China is where a lot of firsts happened: cast coinage, a unified script, a state census, a seismoscope, a civil-service ethic. The period from the oracle-bone kings to the end of the Han also produced the thinkers, tyrants and tomb treasures that still define how China tells its own story. These 50 questions skip the postcard facts and head for the second tier: named sites and texts, Warring States philosophers, the Qin court's plots and forgeries, Han envoys and historians, and the legends of the sage-kings. Every answer comes with a short explanation and a source. It suits pub-quiz setters, history teachers and anyone who wants a harder test than 'who built the wall'.
