50 free Freak the Mighty trivia questions with answers — literature quiz, new questions added Oct 2026.
Freak the Mighty is a short novel with a long life in classrooms. It follows Max, a big, quiet boy who thinks he has no brain, and Kevin, a tiny genius on crutches, who team up one summer and walk high above the world as a single hero. This quiz follows the story from the first chapter to the last page: how the boys meet, the quests they invent, the bullies and bikers they run into, the night Max is taken, and the hard final chapters, with a good share of questions on chapters 21 to 25. It also covers who is who among the characters, the author's own account of where the story came from, and the 1998 film version, The Mighty. It suits students finishing the novel, teachers who want a quick check or a printable review, and anyone who met Max and Kevin years ago and wants to see how much has stuck. Every answer comes with a short explanation.
