50 free Liverpool FC trivia questions with answers — sports quiz, new questions added Aug 2026.
Liverpool Football Club was born out of a rent dispute. When Everton walked out of Anfield for Goodison Park in 1892, landowner John Houlding was left with an empty ground and started a new club to fill it, fielding a first team made up entirely of Scots. Since then the Reds have collected twenty league titles, six European Cups and a record ten League Cups, built a mythology around Bill Shankly's Boot Room and the Kop, and survived two of football's worst tragedies. This quiz walks the whole story: the team of Macs, the first title in 1901, the all-red strip that Shankly tried out on Ron Yeats, Bob Paisley's nine seasons and the one domestic trophy he never won, Joe Fagan's 1984 treble, Heysel and Hillsborough, the 1989 title lost on goals scored, Istanbul 2005, the Gillett and Hicks years, Fenway Sports Group, Klopp's 99-point champions and Arne Slot's twentieth title. There are questions on kit makers and sponsors, the Spion Kop, Match of the Day's first edition and the striker on the Sgt. Pepper cover. Fifty questions, four options each, with a short explanation after every answer. Play on your phone or print it for the pub.
