98 free Pee-wee Herman trivia questions with answers — entertainment quiz, new questions added Aug 2026.
Pee-wee Herman started as a joke at a Groundlings improv night in the late 1970s: a comic so bad he would obviously never make it. Within a few years Paul Reubens had taken the bow-tied man-child to HBO, Letterman, Carnegie Hall, a Tim Burton movie, and a Saturday-morning show that spent five seasons winning Emmys and teaching kids to scream real loud. This quiz covers the whole story: the character's origins and look, the stage show, Pee-wee's Big Adventure (Large Marge, the Alamo, the Tequila dance), Pee-wee's Playhouse and its cast of puppets and future stars, Big Top Pee-wee, the 1991 arrest and comeback, the Broadway revival, Pee-wee's Big Holiday on Netflix, and Reubens' work outside the suit, from Star Tours to Batman Returns. It runs from easy to genuinely obscure. Every answer has been checked against documented film and TV records, so it is safe for a movie night, an 80s-themed quiz or a Pee-wee marathon.
