50 free Super Sentai trivia questions with answers — trivia quiz, new questions added Oct 2026.
Super Sentai is Japan's long-running television tradition of colour-coded heroes who fight as a team, announce themselves in unison and finish each battle from the cockpit of a giant robot. For half a century it reinvented itself almost every year with a new cast, a new theme and a new set of machines, and its fight scenes were recut for Western viewers as Power Rangers. This quiz covers the whole run: how the franchise began in the 1970s, the comic-book partnership that gave it giant robots, the landmark teams built around dinosaurs, ninjas, cars and outlaws, the mecha and how they combine, and what changed when the footage went overseas. It suits long-time fans as well as anyone who grew up on the Western version and wants to know where it came from. The opening questions are friendly to newcomers, and the later ones reward viewers who can tell one decade's team from another.
