50 free Inscryption trivia questions with answers — trivia quiz, new questions added Oct 2026.
Inscryption hides one of the strangest card games ever put inside a video game: a deck of woodland beasts, played by candlelight against a dealer who would rather you never left his cabin. Every card has a cost, a pair of stats and often a sigil that bends the rules, and learning which creature does what is half the fun. This quiz works through the card list the way a run does. It covers the Act I beasts and their sigils, the rare cards worth building a deck around, the bosses and the tricks they pull, and the puzzles tucked around the cabin. Later questions follow the story into its second and third acts, then out into the real world of the developer, the prototype and the awards. It is written for players who have finished at least one run and want to see how much of the deck stuck, and for anyone who wants a tour of the cards with the reasoning attached. Expect some gentle openers, plenty of mid-run knowledge and a handful of deep cuts.

Q 07Which rare card in Inscryption returns to the hand stronger each time it dies, keeping the boost across acts?
Ouroboros
Ouroboros gains +1 Power and +1 Health with every death, and the growth is permanent, so a patient player can loop sacrifices to build a monster.

Q 12In Inscryption, cards made by the Scrybe P03 are paid for with which resource, which refills itself every turn?

A scale
A scale takes a weight for every point of direct damage, so a player close to losing can still claw the balance back by hitting harder than the opponent.

Q 25Which one-Blood card in Inscryption is built to block flying attackers that would otherwise pass over it?
Bullfrog
Bullfrog's Mighty Leap sigil stops Airborne cards that would otherwise fly overhead, though with 2 Health it mostly buys a turn or two for something better.

Q 28Which two-Blood card in Inscryption bears Fecundity, putting a fresh copy of itself in the hand when played?
Field Mice
Field Mice are a modest fighter, but the sigil turns absurd once it is moved to a free card, which can then flood the board with copies of itself.

Mothman
Mothman takes patience: the larva and then the pupa sit powerless for a turn each, so players hide them behind a boulder or stump until they hatch.
