50 free Pokemon Generation 3 trivia questions with answers — trivia quiz, new questions added Oct 2026.
The third generation took Pokémon to Hoenn, a region of sea routes, volcanoes and weather-bending Legendaries. Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald added 135 new species, and almost none of them were related to the monsters that came before, which gave the era a look and feel all of its own. This quiz is mostly a name game: each question describes a Hoenn Pokémon by its Pokédex lore, design inspiration or in-game quirk and asks you to pick it out. The rest covers the games themselves, from the villains and rivals of the story to the new mechanics, the remakes and the console spin-offs released alongside them. It suits anyone who grew up trading over a link cable, as well as newer fans who met these creatures in later games. Questions run from easy openers to deep cuts for completists.
