Pokémon Conquest is one of the most unusual Pokémon spin-offs: a 2012 strategy game that drops the series into a feudal land called Ransei, where Warlords drawn from Japanese history march their partners across a map of seventeen kingdoms, one for each Pokémon type. The heart of the game is the link, the bond between a Warlord and a Pokémon, and the Perfect Link above all: the partner a character can take all the way to 100%. This quiz asks who pairs with whom, why those pairings were chosen, and how well you remember the kingdoms, the story and the rules of battle. It is written for players who have united Ransei at least once, but anyone who knows their Pokémon evolutions and a little Sengoku-era history will find plenty they can work out.
